I am so excited to see a link to my blog on your great site. First I thank you but could you please tell me how I return the favour for you? I do not know how to do this I am just learning..
Chris, thanks for asking and thanks for the compliment. I shared your blog with a friend on facebook who has just started as a hairdresser at age 47 — I’m sure her stories will be as funny as yours one day (right now, she’s dealing with the drama of beauty salon school and women half her age!).
If there is a blog post you’d like to share, here’s one method of doing so:
1. At the top of your browser window, click your mouse in the address window (the one with text that begins with “http://). Highlight the whole text by clicking your mouse cursor in front of the “http” and drag to the end of the text. Then, on the keyboard, press the Ctrl and C keys at the same time, which copies the text into temporary memory.
2. Next, in your blog, start a new blog entry and type some text you want to serve as a link. For example, type “Rick’s blog that I liked today.” Highlight that text and then press the button that looks like two links of a chain. Click the mouse in the box labeled Link/URL; press the Ctrl and V keys at the same time, which pastes the temporary memory into the box. You can add text in the second box that will show up when a user passes the mouse over the link in your new post.
There’s an easier way that only works if the blog owner has added the option of sharing by putting share buttons at the bottom of their blog. I need to do that for mine to make it easier than the instructions above, don’t you think?
Have a great day!
I will post one of my school related stories to morrow. I did post one yesterday if she is interested.
Thank you again
You’re welcome — I’ll tell my friend about your new stories.
