According to CSR Alethia last night, there are no plans for AT&T to deploy 4G LTE towers in Huntsville, Alabama, anytime soon, for those who are interested.

Talked to the AT&T regional director who is a good friend and he told me otherwise. He said even though Huntsville is not on the website for markets to be updated, he expects it will be ready for years end 2012.
Thanks, Rob. As an AT&T customer, I look forward to faster throughput for my smartphone.
Rob, any word from the AT&T regional director about the rollout date of the Jelly Bean Android update (4.1 or 4.2?) for Samsung Galaxy S3 phones?
Well, years end 2012 has passed…no LTE.
We need an update.
Indeed. It’s easy to anonymously quote an AT&T regional manager and not have hard facts to back up the claims (e.g., see 12/21/2012 Mayan calendar predictions).
Last time I spoke to a customer service rep on the phone she looked it up and said the towers were scheduled for an upgrade in April 2013… We’ll see.
I noticed 4G LTE on my AT&T phone a day or so ago in and around the outskirts of Huntsville.
Yeah, I started picking up LTE Thursday night!
