Here in the Deep South, memories of civility and civil rights movements are as fresh as mint juleps and magnolia blooms under the summer moon.
So, I wonder, what’s the controversy about and what, if any, is the hidden agenda or ulteriour motive in castigating Paula Deen over decades-old behaviour?
Witch hunts are as old as time. So, in a way, is lynching.
The capitalist system of false morals and ethics tied to whatever supports a profitable bottom line has, in effect, whipped, tortured, hung in effigy, dragged through the street, beheaded and burned Southern-fried Paula Deen at the stake.
Shame on you, Corporate America, for being a slave to the imaginary tyrannical whims of a buying public.
If we can’t learn to forgive each other, then we will never be a true shining example of faith and love for others.
Besides, I didn’t even know that one company which removed Paula Deen products was still in business. No need to boycott them since I haven’t shopped in their stores for years, anyway. And a food company may be bought by a Chinese company, joining a giant worldwide retailer [which dropped Paula Deen] as a Chinese labour distribution system, so I can check them all off the list.
Hey, the only way to show my displeasure is to match my behaviour to that of my corporate neighbours or better, ignore them completely in the future.
Back to wiring up a supercomputer out of the watchful eyes of the spies in American governmental agencies.
Then, down to computing a gender-neutral future that gives freedom a clear path away from tyranny of the masses.
