Good point — unless you are a parent/friend/caretaker of a person who is socially nonfunctional (or very limited socially) with an autism-related condition, it probably doesn’t matter. I’m not one of those, myself, but being a member of a family of teachers, have seen the social/economic costs of autism firsthand.
We need people to pay more attention and take the time to find out about these problems. Understanding is important
